Built by a Teacher. Backed by Military Leadership. Driven to Serve.
Every feature in EduSlip exists because someone experienced the frustration firsthand.
Meet Larry Thompson
I'm Larry Thompson, founder and CEO of EduSlip.
After serving 20 years in the United States Air Force, including 12 years in Security Forces and eight years as an intelligence officer, I retired from military service with a desire to continue serving others.
That path led me to education.
For three years, I taught Air Force JROTC at a public high school. In the classroom, I saw firsthand how much time teachers and administrators lose to paperwork, approval chains, disconnected systems, and repetitive administrative tasks.
The challenge was not a lack of effort from educators. Schools were often being asked to manage modern responsibilities with processes and tools that had not kept pace.
As both an educator and an entrepreneur, I believed there had to be a better way.
So I built EduSlip.
EduSlip was created to simplify the administrative side of education so teachers can spend more time teaching, administrators can maintain better visibility, and schools can serve students and families more efficiently.
Experience Beyond Education
Before founding EduSlip, Larry built and operated several businesses, including an insurance brokerage, a 24-hour fitness center, and a family entertainment and trampoline park.
Those experiences provided practical lessons in operations, technology, customer service, risk management, communication, and building systems that people can depend on. That experience now helps shape EduSlip into an affordable and dependable platform for schools.
Why I Built EduSlip
During my time as a teacher, I saw educators spending valuable hours coordinating field trips, tracking approvals, managing student movement, handling fundraising, and communicating across disconnected systems.
EduSlip was built to bring those responsibilities together in one straightforward platform.
The EduSlip suite helps schools:
- Digitize the field-trip planning and approval process
- Manage digital hall passes and student movement
- Run fundraisers while keeping 100% of the money raised
- Use built-in fundraising marketing and supporter communication tools
- Reduce paperwork and repetitive administrative work
- Improve visibility and accountability across school workflows
Built From Inside the School Environment
EduSlip was not designed from assumptions about what schools need. It was created from firsthand experience inside a public high school and shaped by conversations with educators and administrators.
Every product decision starts with a simple question:
Will this make life easier for educators while giving schools the visibility and control they need?
If the answer is no, it does not belong in EduSlip.
